While we are totally ready for winter to be over, we are fighting cabin fever with a vengeance.

Prison Break!
Since the snow started falling, this is as far as the chickens have been willing to venture out of the coop. However, today one apparently began feeling the cabin feaver the rest of us have been feeling for weeks. Andy opened the door and she took off. That is, until she ran into Andy's leg and figured out there was snow under her. Then she turned around and ran back into the coop.

From 0 to 60
Thank goodness for half-marathon training to keep the weight that I have lost this past month off, since it was a quick turn around on the eating habits. I had this great plan in my head: I was slowing going to step off my diet a week at a time and stay away from the caffeine and sugar as long as possible. Turns out if you don't intentionally plan out everything you're going to eat coming off a diet, there is a good chance it isn't going to happen. With that said, I am making better choices, overall, but here is what the last 36 hours has looked like for me..........
I woke up yesterday morning - my first day of freedom - and while I had berries and stuff to eat, I realized that I did not have any tea left. Cold winter morning, smell of my husband's morning coffee brewing.... Two cups of coffee later, I was wired for sound for the rest of the day.
Then to top it off, at the end of the work day one of my co-workers had 3 free tickets for a hockey game. I love hockey, so there is no way I was passing those up. Of course, when I called my husband he suggested we go for dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings. I was not going to turn down wings for dinner. A basket of wings, onion rings and soda later and we were off to the hockey game. Thankfully, we did not eat anything at the game.
Then this afternoon we went to Great Harvest for lunch after looking at ice and snow sculptures and of course brought home a loaf of cinnamon bread. Andy has promised to reign me in a bit, but I can see myself heading for a hardcore crash at any minute. HELP!
